PSN getting subscription service

During Sony’s recent Media & Investor Conference, it had be revealed in a presentation that the Playstation Network is getting a new subscription service. You can view the presentation slide containing the information below.

It is not yet clear how the subscription service would work, it may be an optional service, or something close to Xbox360’s Live Gold service.

Would you pay to play the PS3 online?

A slide like that is extremely vague.
They’re not going to charge to play games. That’s part of their selling point for the PS3: free online.

They’re going to charge for something like Qore or something new. Maybe Home will have a fee, who knows.

They will not charge so that I can play MW2 online, I guarantee you.

PSN would be more worth paying to play online than xbox live anyway!

maybe it’s like a pay-per-view service?
