Luda's got your back gamers!

Rapper Luacris is lending a portion of his decidedly oversized coolness to gamers with a track on his next album with a called Press the Start Button. Hit the jump to listen to the song, and see if you can pick out all the video game references.

Warning: This Song is Rated M for Mature and contains foul language, drug references, AND a lot of bad rapping.

The references are stale, but it does snow that Christopher Bridges is a gamer, and is willing to speak out on behalf of gamers nationwide. Here is a list of references we found, sorted by relevance to gaming in 2009:

  • Halo
  • Grand Theft Auto
  • Playstation 4?
  • Assasin’s Creed
  • WWe vs. Smackdown
  • God of War

So does that qualify Ludaschris as nerd core now? Team up with MC Chris and Frontalot for a supergroup.

Jesus wept, that is hecking rubbish!

Kevin, you have got to be out of your mind. Halo is much less relevant right now than… well, several things on that list. Most of all CoD, the new Guitar Hero, and Dora the Explorer’s friend Diego. Yeesh.

    Scoreboard, Homie.

Comment by Brinkman on 2008-12-08 21:23:48

Yeah, only because W@W came out and divided the attention of all the people who were previously playing CoD4. I bet (and this is pure speculation) that the number of people playing W@W and CoD4 on Live combined are more than the number of people playing Halo 3. Let’s not forget that Gears 2 has undoubtedly distracted some gamers from both franchises as well.

Fact. But scoreboard is scoreboard is scoreboard.

83% of all statistics are incorrect.

COD is the top to anyone who knows their stuff.

Halo for the boys. COD for the men. The choice is yours…

Agreed with the COD/Halo thing. This coming from once an avid Halo gamer. I am 21 btw, lest anyone think I’m 13 or whatever.

83% of all statistics are incorrect.

Unless they’re collected by the company that owns the internet gaming service being polled.

Totally off topic… is Xboxic a one man show now? It seems that there is only one guy (Kevin) doing any stories. What gives?

Kevin’s got to eat, and the whole male-prostitute thingy didn’t really work out for him.
