Fallout fans can breathe a sigh of relief, since Bethesda Softworks has today pinpointed the release date for the award-winning Fallout 3 to October 28 (October 31 in Europe), meaning that the game is very unlikely to slip into 2009.

Said Vlatko Andonov, president of Bethesda Softworks:

“We are very excited to let gamers get their hands on Fallout 3, the latest chapter in this beloved and highly acclaimed franchise. To meet the huge demand for this title by our fans worldwide, we are planning one of the biggest launches of any game released this year.”
