No more DLC for PGR4, new racer in 2010

Racing fans will be saddened at the news that Bizarre Creations will not be bringing any more DLC to Project Gotham Racing 4, handing it all over to Microsoft in light of the acquisition by Activision.

One of the developers over on the official forums stated:

“Sorry but you won’t see any more PGR4 DLC from Bizarre Creations. We’ve handed over the reigns to Microsoft now. It’s possible that they may create some more content in the future, but we haven’t heard of anything in the pipeline I’m afraid.”

No breakthrough here

Activision also stated in their recent financial figures for the first quarter of the year that Bizarre’s next racer won’t see the light of day until 2010. Presumably it’ll be PGR5, but with a new name, but we shall see.

get rid of the bikes!

Seconded. In particular, they do not belong in a game with cars. However, all bike games just never seem to work effectively. Moto GP being a prime example. The handling of the bikes in PGR4 is a bit better, but still not satisfying to play.

Too bad, PGR4 was for my money the best racer for the 360 thus far, and I totally would’ve been all over new content (which is unusual, I typically shy away from DLC).

As for bikes, there are very few events where you are forced to use them, so if you don’t like them, stick with the cars. I thought they added some nice variety to the game (racing a bike is completely different from racing a car).
