Next week's Rock Band tracks uncovered

As Mondays are to Xbox Live Arcade fans, Fridays are to Rock Band players, with the latest Harmonix update revealing that songs from Blondie, The Clash, and Sonic Youth will be featured in next week’s batch of new content for Rock Band.

  • Hanging on the Telephone by Blondie (master)
  • Train in Vain by The Clash (master)
  • Kool Thing by Sonic Youth (master)

Once again, the aforementioned tracks will only be available for download individually, 160 Microsoft Points per track. As a reminder, the following songs will come down in price the same day:

  • Shockwave - Black Tide
  • Sugar Magnolia - Grateful Dead

Are you planning to get any of these?

Wow the developers sure know how to create a cash cow. The amount of DLC for both Rock Band and Guitar Hero is insane.

Uhm no, just Rock Band… GH has nothing compared to the DLC available in Rock Band. THe guys at Activision aren’t even trying, they’re just trying to push out GH: Aerosmith… (lame!)

You just change the tuning of the plastic guitar to match of their tuning. Not too bright eh?

It is a crime that nothing involving J. Mascis has ever been in Guitar Hero or Rock Band yet. He is a living guitar legend damnit. It’d love to see some of his solo work or work with Dinosaur Jr. in the future.

An example of why we need some Mascis can be located here:
