A demo for Naughty Dog’s upcoming Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune game has been confirmed by Co-President of the studio, Evan Wells. This wasn’t done through official channels though, but Wells commented on a post on the official Playstation blog stating that they’ll create a demo for the PSN.
It’s obviously great that they’ll be releasing a demo, but there’s no date set unfortunately. Since the game is coming out November 20 in the US and December 5 in Europe, it’ll be before then.
In comment no. 97, he also said that they’ll be implementing 1080i resolution (scaled) due to many requests for this. Despite it being a bit strange to inform people about their progress this way, we’re happy that the developers are listening.
Hey guys, I appreciate all of these comments. And in fact, you have just helped us out immensely. I wasn’t fully aware of how important it was for us to support 1080i. Up until earlier today we were only supporting 720p (and SD of course) but reading through these comments, it was brought to my attention the number of people who had HDTV’s but would not be able to experience Uncharted in high-def. So we immediately went to work and I’m pleased to announce here, for the first time, that we have now implemented 1080 support! Thanks for pointing this out to us, so now even more people will get to enjoy Uncharted the way it was meant to be… in glorious high definition!
We’ll definitely let you know when we have a confirmed date for the demo.
